Strode Montessori, Inc. is licensed by the Department of Human Services to serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We maintain low child to teacher ratios to better serve your child's social and emotional development. Our ratio for our infant classrooms are 1:3 and our ratio for our toddler classrooms are 1:5. Our ratio for our preschool classroom is 1:8. Each of our five classrooms has at least one lead teacher who holds a bachelor degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and/or holds a Montessori credential for that grouping. In addition to this, all Strode Montessori staff participate in monthly Montessori workshops.

To ensure the safety of your children. All teachers and caregivers are trained in infant and child CPR and First Aid. All teachers participate in annual background checks and finger printings and also complete 16 hours of health and safety training each year.

Pamela Strode

Director/Owner

Pamela is the owner of Strode Montessori. She holds a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum Studies. Pamela holds an AMS Montessori Credential in Infant and Toddler and AMS Credential from Instructor Academy in Infant and Toddler. 
Pamela decided to open Strode Montessori in 2011 and is passionate about the Montessori approach to teaching providing the best foundation to help each child reach their full potential.
In 2025, Pamela joined Chaminade University of Honolulu as the Teacher Education Program Age Level Coordinator and as an Adjunct Professor working with adult learners working towards their Montessori credential. 
Pamela especially enjoys connecting with each family every day and jumping into a classroom. 

Trexia Sison

Assistant Director

Trexia received her Bachelor’s in Family Resources from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Trexia also has a Montessori certificate in Infant/Toddler from the North American Montessori Center.
Trexia worked in the infant class for many years before taking on the role of Assistant Director. When Trexia is not working, she enjoys going to concerts, journaling, and puzzles.
